kristina hey everyone, kristina here. Today I have a lastminute Christmas project for you all. I don’t know about you, but I always have quite a few people that I’ve bought gift cards for the closer it gets to Christmas. It seems like the closer it gets to the holiday,.
The more people i find that i don’t have a specific gift for because they’re so hard to shop for. So I thought I would make some really simple and easy gift card holders. Using two different stamp sets from Mama Elephant for these gift card envelopes and this first one.
Has these really fun labels in it, i believe it’s called, oh gosh, I can’t remember what it’s called but I will have all of the stamps linked down in the tutorial description. I also use the retro holiday labels to add some greetings on these labels, and then I took the coordinating dies.
That match up with those labels and I am gonna die cut those out so the labels are ready to go on top of these envelopes. The envelopes are going to be made out of some glitter paper from American Crafts, this is their Christmas glitter pack, I’ve had it for awhile now and I’m pretty sure they still.
Sell it so i’ll link it down below where you can buy it. And as far as the envelope goes, I’m using the gift card envelope die from Simon Says Stamp. This envelope die fits perfectly on small sixbysix papers. So I have my three glitter envelopes all cut out. I’m going to assemble them and put them together.
Using some ranger multimedium glue, our adhesive. And I’m using a liquid adhesive because I did try to use a tape adhesive but this paper is so glittery that the adhesive just was not sticking. So I used some liquid adhesive and then I put an acrylic block on top to hold those flaps down while it dried.
And that seemed to do the trick. So I’m gonna fold over this one and I’ll show you how I did that, I just put a little bit of adhesive on the top flap right at that edge and then I’ll fold it over and I’ll use my fingertips of my left hand to kind of hold that down while I fold up the other.
Little flap and apply some more adhesive. And this is the most efficient way that you can put these envelopes together. I’m not going to be gluing the top flap because I’m gonna leave that open so the recipients can pull out the gift card after I give it to them.
